Sorico

Sorico is a lively place situated on Lake Como, it has a few restaurants and all the necessary shops for daily needs.It is also the northernmost village on the lake at the mouth of the river Mera, and is located near Gera Lario, which has a new harbour, facilitating water sports.

The vast grasslands and reed zones around Sorico offer a charming view, there are some long beaches and a nice flat beach is located only about 80 meters away from the village square and is easily accessible.The sandy beach of the Pian di Spagna on Lake Como can be reached in 5 minutes by car.

The district of Bedoi near San Bartolomeo:

The district of Bedoi (at 1100 meters) is a historic village on a sunny terrace with impressive views and is only 20 minutes by car via Sorico. There you will find the Agriturismo Farm Hotel Giacomino, an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking, because it is right on the trail of the "Via dei Monti Lariani".

District of Dascio:Further north a bit outside of the village center of Sorico lies the Pian di Spagna, with the Nature Reserve and the small village of Dascio at Lake Mezzola.From here you can also take a nice walk to the church of San Fedelino.

Worth seeing in the town and its surroundings:
The Sanctuary "Santuario di Miro" is 300 meters high on the mountainside.Worth seeing are the frescoes from the 16th century, which are well preserved. A walking and hiking trail "Percorso storico" begins at the main road opposite the petrol station and leads to the medieval tower.

The Valtellina, the beautiful towns and villages on the east side of the lake, the Nature Reserve of Pian di Spagna and many other interesting places can easily and quickly reached from Dascio.
