Menaggio

Menaggio is a picturesque holiday town and the middlepoint of the west bank of lake Como, it is at the northern end of the Tremezzina Riviera, with about a 8 km long break in the prominade, Menaggio is where you will find the main attraction on Lake Como.

The holiday town has it´s own beach with a pool and large sunbathing area, a wonderful long promenade, a small fishing harour and boating dock with a ferry service connecting Menaggio with all the other important towns and villages around the lake.

The town of Menaggio is in the most beautiful corner of Lake Como, exactly there, where the road Via Regina, which runs the length of the west bank, meets the road which takes you to Lake Lugano.

Thanks to its central position between lake and mountains, menaggio is the idealdeparting point for all types of day trips. Menaggio has the central town and three hamlets, Loveno, Nobiallo and Croce, with a total of about 3.300 inhabitants. Menaggio is a very important historic center on Lake Como and has a lot of character.

Menaggio was first discovered by tourists at the beginning of the 1900s. From then on the first large hotels were built on the banks of the lake, luxury villas were also built along with the wonderful 18 hole golf course at Croce.

The lake promenade with its wonderful flowers offers a beautiful view over the central part of the lake.
